Established in Christchurch in 2012, South East Earthworks is a large excavation company renowned for its small company morals. As dedicated earthmoving contractors, we take pride in our hard work and our commitment to completing projects to the highest standards, especially in support of the Canterbury rebuild.
All SEE drivers and machinery operators have extensive experience, enabling us to complete jobs quickly and efficiently. This has helped establish South East Earthworks as a trusted name among repair clients and earthmoving contractors. We remain ambitious, with the goal of expanding our company into the future. SEE continues to play a vital role in the Canterbury rebuild and has provided vital excavation services, including assistance during the firefighting efforts in the 2017 and 2024 Port Hills fires in Christchurch.

South East Works is comprehensively insured and fully licensed as a leading provider in the Canterbury rebuild. Under the New Zealand Health and Safety at Work Act, South East Earthworks is dedicated to taking all reasonably practicable steps to establish and maintain safe workplaces for workers, clients, and visitors. We also ensure our staff are well-informed about their responsibilities and how to comply with our Health and Safety Policy, particularly during our excavation services.
Site Specific Safety Plans: We specialize in developing and implementing a Site Specific Safety Plan (SSSP) for each project, which is crucial for all earthmoving contractors. An SSSP serves as an agreement between businesses on a site, determining how Health and Safety will be managed, ensuring that relevant site information is regularly updated, and safety is consistently monitored.
